Volunteer Opportunities
Southampton Hospital is thankful for the generosity of our volunteers – community members, former patients and thoughtful friends who contribute their valuable time to help support our important work. Our volunteers are valued partners who approach their work with commitment to excellence and quality.
Volunteer positions - some involving direct patient care and others providing administrative support to Hospital staff - are available throughout the year or just for the summer. The Hospital, its Thrift Shop on West Main Street (behind Herrick Hardware) in Southampton, and its satellite care centers in Westhampton and Hampton Bays, are always in need of volunteers.
Individuals of all ages, including teenagers 15 and older, are encouraged to join our hospital family (Clinical area volunteers must be at least 18 years old). Volunteering at a hospital is a perfect way for both high school and college students to learn firsthand about careers in healthcare.
