Visiting A Patient
We welcome and encourage visitors, particularly family members and close friends, who can play a vital role in speeding a patient’s recovery and return to optimal health. However, because too many visitors can tire a patient and disrupt other patients, only two visitors are allowed to see a patient at a time. In addition, children under 14 are not permitted to visit patient floors, except for sibling visits to the nursery.
To safeguard the comfort of all our patients, visitors are asked to talk quietly and leave promptly when visiting hours have ended.

Deliveries
Mail, packages and flowers are delivered to patient rooms on a daily basis. Including the patient’s full name and room number on such items will help us accomplish prompt delivery.

Our Cafeteria
Southampton Hospital’s cafeteria is located on the basement level, directly across from the elevators on the south side of the building. The cafeteria, which is open to all Hospital personnel and visitors, is staffed 7 days a week, from 6:45 a.m. to 6:15 p.m., with a brief closing between the hours of 2:15 and 3:15 p.m.
A full hot breakfast is served until 9:00 a.m. Monday through Friday, with continental breakfast items available from 9:00 a.m. weekdays and all morning on the weekend. During lunch hours, from 11:15 a.m. to 1:45 p.m., enjoy a “make-your-own” sandwich bar, two hot homemade soups, a great salad bar and a hot lunch bar with numerous tasty and healthy options to choose from. The same assortment of options is also available for dinner, which is served from 4:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. The self-serve salad bar and prepared grab-and-go wraps and sandwiches are available from 11:00 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. everyday.
When the cafeteria is closed, you can still find a range of appetizing edibles in the vending machines in our surgery waiting room on the first floor.
